"Dutch bikes and design thinking" DutchCham article interview with Leonne Cuppen and Daria Biryukova Hong Kong
This September within Dutch Bike on Tour in Guanzhou Fei Gallery and Poly-U Hong Kong, we run workshops on design thinking. Innovation does not happen as an event, and designers are not geniuses having eureka moments. Design Thinking is a methodology to solve complex problems. It is solution focused and action oriented towards creating a preferred future, creating value. As Steve Jobs used to say: “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” Design Thinking draws upon the combination of imagination, intuition, logic and systemic reasoning, to explore possibilities of what could be, and to create desired outcomes that benefit the end user. Human centred design - through focus on the needs and wishes of both individuals and society - that’s what makes the wheels of Dutch Bike spinning. In this workshop Leonne Cuppen and Daria Biryukova introduce a handful of tools that will help to go in the right direction.
